Before - Finance Act 2025 s.4(2)
(1) For the tax year 2025-26 and subsequent tax years, the capital gains tax exempt amount applicable to individuals shall be determined in accordance with Schedule 1.
(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the annual exempt amount shall be £6,000.
(3) The Treasury may by regulations made by statutory instrument amend the amount specified in subsection (2).
